The Bundeena Book, documenting the early history and colourful characters of Bundeena, was first published in 1981 by Les Philpott and the Bundeena Book Committee.
The book has been a much read and treasured chronical of Bundeena's history and heritage, but is now very difficult to find, apart from the single copy in Sutherland Shire Library. You can, however, read a digital version of the First Edition here:

A revised, refreshed, and beautifully presented Second Edition of The Bundeena Book will be published in September 2026 and will be available for purchase from the BPA. The updated version is 160 pages long, covers another 45 years of Bundeena history, and features new stories, photographs and perspectives on this special part of the world.

The book launch of the second edition of The Bundeena Book will be held on Thursday, 24th September directly following the BPA’s Annual General Meeting at 7:00pm at the Community Centre. All are welcome.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase, with a $5 discount for BPA members. Membership is free, so you'd be mad not to join.
